This page hasn’t been updated for a while but quite frankly we have been really busy. 2008 ended up being a very special year for French Car Care and our family.

Our son Noel won the 2008 Queensland Motorkhana Championship in the original French Car Care Special. The new special driven by Keith Butcher from Holden Sporting Car Club of Qld came a very creditable 3rd . This was a great result considering the special spent the entire year under testing.

Noel was also married in October 2008 so we now have a daughter-in-law in the family. Noel and Kate are expecting their first child in August this year. A big year for Noel in particular!

Both specials have undergone a lot of maintenance and improvements during the off season so hopefully they will be even more competitive this year.

The 2009 calendar for motorkhanas has finally been sorted out. We have rounds of the Queensland Motorkhana Championship and Series (QMC and QMS) being held in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Maryborough and Brisbane this year, making it more like a Queensland Championship rather than a “Brisbane” one.

If I can manage it I will try and get a picture of our specials on the website but we never seem to have a camera around when wanted!

HSCC – Holden Sporting Car Club Qld
CQMSC – Central Queensland Motor Sport Club.  This is a day/night event and is a lot of fun.
AMEC – Australian Motorsport Enthusiasts Club.  This is supposed to be a day/night event.   However it may not go ahead.  If not, it will most likely end up at Willowbank with HSSCQ.
BSCC – Brisbane Sporting Car Club
Willowbank – These events are held at Willowbank Raceway behind the drag strip.  To get there take the first left turn once in Champions Way and follow the signs.

Come along and enjoy the fun.  If you would like to participate let us know or get all the information from the HSCCQ website.  The name of the game is FUN, FUN and more FUN.

This is the first special we made and has French Car Care signwriting. It is driven by Keith Butcher from Holden Sporting Car Club. It is called 'Mon Reve' which is French for "My Dream".

This is the new special. At this event the special was being driven for only the second time. The driver is our son Noel Caplet. Sign writing and the finishing touches are still to be done.
